So on second thought you do have an excuse.

In view of the last statement, ladies you are excused, this is only applicable to lazy males. If you have a little time on your hands though, you should definitely give it a go.

Your autoresponder can considerably increase your sales and it should not seem that all of your emails are coming from some pre-programmed software. Just putting a name in the headline does not personalize the email you have to talk to your subscriber.

Make each email contain valuable information to what the subscriber opted in for in the first place. Each piece of information should be complete, meaning that he will be able to use it without having to buy a product or subscribing to a site. Add your personal touch to the mails and actually write them yourself, don?t just copy and paste.

Make your headline interesting not the same old same old as you see on every second email.

Price squeezes ‘killing vege trade’; Growers fear end to industry

0 Comments | Taranaki Daily News; New Plymouth, New Zealand, Jul 6, 2010 | by Matt RILKOFF

Without action to increase growers’ bottom lines, Taranaki’s market gardens will be gone within a generation.

Waitara’s Moratti brothers, Neville, Graham and Desmond, have tilled their plots for decades but say their children will learn their trades at university rather than at the vegetable rows of their parents.

They say that because there are only two major buyers in New Zealand and countless suppliers, prices paid to growers have not increased in years despite shoppers paying more for their greens.

“I have to give a talk about market gardening next week and my wife said all I need to say is that you work hard and get no money,” Desmond said yesterday.

Their plight has been highlighted by a recent Green Party survey attacking supermarkets for pricing fresh fruit and vegetables up to 500 per cent higher than the cost of production

Likewise, creating different fields for contracts will make sorting easy.

A contract management database starts its functions when data is stored in it. Initially, information comes from other database systems and from data that have been manually entered. Sometimes, if the list is too large for manual storing, a card scanning program compatible with the contract management database software can be used. Similarly, when manual verification of duplication is not possible, special tools capable of making essential additions and deletions can be employed. For handling complex situations such as calculation of contract sales, specialized contract management database applications are available.

The prime advantage of contract management databases is that it allows users to access vendor and contract information. It enables employees to properly plan their work and meet the legal obligations of all contract deadlines. It also saves time and results in improved profits. The key provisions included in contract management databases can provide accurate and instant information. In addition, several options are now available to retrieve information anytime and anywhere, including secured Internet contract management databases.

Contract Management Software provides detailed information on ASP Contract Management Software, Construction Contract Management Software, Contract Management Enterprise Software, Contract Management Services and more.

Why you might ask. There are programs out there that real spammers use to grab email addresses. When you forward (or even reply) with all the addresses showing you just gave spammers the opportunity to get all those email addresses. Imagine if the email went out to 10 people who sent it on to 10 people …..there’s my email address and yours vunerable again and again.

Don’t send every joke to everybody. Some people seem compelled to send every joke they get to every person in their address book. Don’t waste my time only send me what yo uthink I might be interested in. If I miss out on a joke email I’m sure I will live.

Don’t forward emails and consider that keeping in touch. I’ve had friends (notice past tense) that thought keeping in touch was forwarding an email. Nope, it’s not. Once in a while send that person a note and see how they are doing.

Stop forwarding the “true good to be true” emails. Disney World and Pepsi will give you money to forward this to all your friends, Microsoft and AOL will send you money, send this to everybody in your address book and you will have good luck,…you get the idea.

Doing something that moves you forward helps you feel you have more control of your day and your workload. Just thinking about doing something is a waste of your time. Time that would be better spent overcoming roadblocks.

Don?t be a slave to poor time management habits, cluttered desktops (and hard drives) and procrastination. Being successful means having more time to spend with your family and friends as well as pursue some of your own interests.

Elliptical machines are all the rage at the moment and they are one of the best ways to exercise at home, but how do they compare if you look at elliptical training vs. stationary bike riding in terms of getting in shape. Of course stationary bikes are a very good way to exercise, they have been around for a long time and are very popular. They are a very simple way to exercise and very familiar to many exercise consumers, after all, most people have owned a bike at some point or time in their life. Based on that it’s easy to see why they are a very easy concept for most people to understand. You just get on the bike and ride the same way that you would ride a normal bike, of course you don’t have to worry about the traffic or the weather. On the contrary you can actually watch TV while you are exercising with your stationary bike.

BP in red for first time in 18 years

0 Comments | Northern Echo, Jul 28, 2010 | by Deborah Johnson

OIL producer BP yesterday caused more concern for UK pension funds after plunging into the red for the first time in 18 years as it racked up a $32.2bn bill for the Gulf of Mexico spill.

BP, which also confirmed the departure of under-fire chief executive Tony Hayward, posted a loss of $17bn for the April-June period following the Deepwater Horizon oil accident.

Yesterday, the firm also put about ten per cent of its oil and gas assets up for sale as it looks to raise $30bn over the next 18 months.

The financial figures also give further concern to pension fund investors in the UK, with the Gulf of Mexico spill set to cause havoc.

Nearly every pension investor has a stake in BP’s fortunes, as the oil firm accounts for [pounds]1 of every [pounds]7 of dividend income paid out by the companies in the FTSE 100 index of leading shares.

In addition, the decrease in BP’s share price since oil started spilling into the Gulf of Mexico on April 20 will also have taken billions of pounds off the value of UK investor pension pots.

Mr Hayward, who has become deeply unpopular in the US through a series of PR blunders since the crisis began, is to be replaced by US citizen Bob Dudley. He will step down on October 1 with a pay- off of one year’s salary – [pounds]1.045m – and an [pounds]11m pension pot.

He will remain on the BP board until the end of November and has been put forward as a non-executive director of the firm’s TNK-BP Russian joint venture.

BP chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg said the firm was deeply saddened to lose a chief executive whose success was so widely and deservedly admired.

But he added that the Deepwater Horizon explosion, which left 11 workers dead, had been a “watershed incident”.

“It will be a different company going forward, requiring fresh leadership supported by robust governance and a very engaged board, ” Mr Svanberg said.

Mr Hayward joined the company in 1982 and has been chief executive since 2007 – before the spill he had been credited with reviving its fortunes.

Yesterday, he said: “The Gulf of Mexico explosion was a terrible tragedy for which – as the man in charge of BP when it happened – I will always feel a deep responsibility, regardless of where blame is ultimately found to lie.

“BP will be a changed company as a result and it is right that it should embark on its next phase under new leadership.”
